Please excuse the slightly off-topic post, but I'm finally ordering my
laptop this week. It'll be a PIII-933, 20 gig HD with 256 RAM. This
machine will basically be my desktop replacement. I will use it to run
video/graphics software (Adobe's photoshop, illustrator, premier and
pagemaker), productivity software (MS Office 2000 Suite) and Audio software
(CDr, Logic, Soundforge, etc...). I keep hearing about Protools
and keep wondering if maybe I should go that route. I basically need a
powerful program to edit soundwaves and master CD recordings. Is Protools
expensive? Does anybody have any beta or trial versions? If you do, please
backchannel the info to me.
Thanks,
Pedro Cevallos
