Nat and Tempo of the Down,
Kimosabe!!! I'll have to go shoppin' soon for both of those Coltrane's you
mentiuoned and the Ray Draper sounds like a winner too. Also to let
everyone know P'taah's "Decompressed" is coming out along with DJ Krush's
"Zen". I need to get hooked up soon. I am little scattered brained since
last night Britney Spears Superbowl Halftime show. Ponder this!!! Britney
Spears doing track 4 "Lebanese Blonde" or track 2 "Le Monde" from The Mirror
Conspiracy" by the Thievery Corporation!!! I say she hook up with Sweetback
and put out a CD!!!!
Siempre Pondering,
Semper Motociclismo Rastafari!!!,
Pace'
I would also recommend 2 other albums of Coltrane's on the same vibe:
- Ballads (Absolutely butter!)
- John Coltrane & Miles Davis play Richard Rodgers
Speaking of John Coltrane, I recently picked up 2 albums of a Tuba player
called Ray Draper. One says Featuring John Coltrane, but the other one
doesnt say John Coltrane anywhere but you can definitely hear it's him!
Anyway, both are really interesting and swinging, it's cool to hear Tuba
in a jazz improvisation context.
Peace,
Nat
