I'll have to second this...Argo and I caught McToy
Tyner several weeks ago here in philadelphia and it
was amazing. I was a little disappointed that a good
half of it was more accessible, crowd-friendly stuff,
but I definitely got my fill of braver chord
    progressions and timing and stuff.

I wonder if we saw the same musicians that you
did...the show we saw had no sax player. But no loss,
the trio we saw is amazing together!! I want to point
out the drummer, but the bassist is just as good!
incredibly dynamic. The drummer in particular had a
mathemtatically perfect understanding of how to pull
the exact level of intensity that's appropriate out of
a drum set. They were as fun to watch as to listen
to. And it was a really nice change to sit down in a
comfy chair in a concert hall and hear every nuance of
the pristine sound, as opposed to the regular old
    drunken-stupor style of club-and-bar listening. It's
amazing what you can hear, when you can hear!
