I've been wondering about how it ALL started.
It's getting more popular eveyday with New Sector Movements "Download
This" getting rave reviews, and more & more house artists experimenting
with broken beats. King Britt is usually known for his housier
productions, just as much as his acid jazz Sylk 130 lp's. Now as Scuba
remixed the fantastic Soul Dharma "Flower" on the Velocity label. It
sounds very broken beat-ish to me. Also, look at Orin Walters (from
Hustlers of Culture fame, Mousetrap early house imprint, and as Blak N'
Spanish, Ashley Beadle (Ballistic Brothers, Black Science Orchestra,
Black Jazz Chronicles/ Afro Art), Phil Asher (Blak N Spanish, Rising
Sons (w/ Ashley Beadle) a seminal Broken Beat track "Ricano Sunspots",
and a whole cast of drum & bass expatriots like Seiji, Venom, Paradox,
Hidden Agenda, Underwolves, Nubian Mindz, & Dego. Then I.G. Culture (new
Sector Movements) was better known as acid jazz/ hip hoppers Dodge City
Productions. Nathan Haines worked as Sci-clone (w/ drum & bass dj
A-sides), but no hoding awsome records for ChilliFunk w/ Phil Asher.
Maters at Work/NuYorican Soul's "Nervous Track" and "Mind Fluid" sound
familiar to what is happening now. and there originally from '95.
P'Taah's (Chris Brann of Wamdue Project) Compressed Light could be
considered one of the first US LP's forwarding this unique sound. What
    do y'all think???????????

    Who else am I forgetting???????

Any input on the history of this fascinating sound of West London and
worldwide, would be helpful. Maybe, we'll submit the info for a website.

    Let's hear some REPLYS!!!!!!

    Thanx,
