Alistair and Tempo of the Down,
This disc was one of my recent aquisitions as well. I'm digging most of the
stuff I've heard from Naked Music - in particular Carte Blanche vol2 which
is in the same vein as Midnight Snack - perhaps better. Also on the
Downtempo vibe, have you heard Slide Five's "people, places and things"?
I just picked it up and I have to say Slide Five's People, Places and Things
from http://www.ubiquityrecords.com is definitely one of the best if not the
best things I have ever heard, without a doubt. Brother Stimp this one is
it, Kimosabe!!! Whatta Vibe, Whatta Feel, Just what the Doctor Ordered!!!
It's a few years old now
I am surprised I haven't heard of it before. As soon I listen it to it I
went ahead and ordered Slide Five's -Rhode Trip-. This is one band I just
can't get enough of. I am very grateful to Alistair for his pointing me in
this direction.
and I don't know if it's still available but IMHO
it's a Downtempo classic.
I too think so, this one is absolutely essential!!!
I still give it a listen on a regular basis.
I still am spellbound by Cinematic Orchestra's -Motion- CD but this Slide
Five hits the spot for me. Any more recommendations in this vein?
Cheers,
Al.
Happy Trails!!!
