What up all...as I sit melting in my chair in front of the computer (what the hell is up with summer in Toronto anyway...it's all cool for a while, people complain 'argh where is the sun? where's the heat?' and then BAM it's like a ton of bricks dropped outta nowhere and it's full on heatwave complete with smog alerts--yay it's fun not being able to breathe--and humidity)...but hey, who's complaining? Toronto's got some sick-ass music action going on this summer (much love to everyone making that happen!!), and mixing heat with beats makes an intoxicating concoction...
I've been subscribing to this list for a while and just want to say that all of you are an invaluable wealth of information...so many artists I would've never known or come across without you!!! (sniff sniff...gotta suck those tears back...). Seriously, you all rock!!!
I figure someone out there must know the answer to my query: is there a recording (video or audio) of Radar's performance of his 'Concerto for Turntable'? I believe it was performed a couple months back at a university in Arizona. This guy is on some other shit with this turntablism stuff...devising a complete notation system for it and writing a concerto...damn.
Any info would be much appreciated...
