I've used the Tascam CD-302 and it was a piece of shit. It failed to read
most of the CD-R's in my collection, and one of the players stopped working
after about 6 hours of use. (you can find posts of my troubles with this
unit in the Acid Jazz archives from March). I returned it and rented the
Pioneer CMX-5000 instead. What a difference. It had a few features that I
didn't need, like the Automix Play, but overall, it was extremely easy to
use and had no problems reading any of my CD's.. If I were you, I'd find a
place that rents CD mixers and spend some time playing around with the
different models before making a decision.
