In Germany it's exactly the same. It seems that for TV trailers they always
use tracks from the latest chill-out/downbeat compilations. And then: K&D
for perfume, Mr Scruff for Volvo etc. pp.
It seems that this downbeat/chill-out sound is very popular amongst
employees of advertisment agencies because it's hip and implies this urban
lifestyle attitude. So when they want to create a modern sounding ad they
simply take this kind of music.
