Hi guys
I found this posting in a newsgroup.
It raises some interesting questions.
Personally I stick to my Nitty-Gritty
record cleaner.
How about you guys ? Any personal experiences,
alternative as they may be, are welcome.

I've found that licking an old record clean really helps to get em' real
clean. I've also found that each record tastes different, which is really
difficult to explain.
My theory is that the dirt after being caked in the
grooves for so long begins to interact with the music.
Anybody else have any theories as to why this might be?
Does anybody else practice this method?
Is it possible that silava might leave a corrosive film on my records?
Any other lickers out there, who might help?
Thanx! ;o)
