now we`re talking about ambient dub, where a really good example is Bob Marley "Dreams of freedom. Ambient translations of Bob Marley in Dub" (remixed by Bill Laswell) There is almost no voice of Bob himself, only the back up singers (all female)...

have you checked out any dub? admittedly, most of the

vocalists tend to be male, but there's a period in

black uhuru's past when they had a female vocalist

along with the guys (michael rose & ducky simpson, i

think).
