    Very true. Think about what is on the market now, in
    terms of "world music". If you look, you can find a
    lot of older albums on vinyl, of course. But no one
    in these countries are producing them anymore, simply
    because of costs and the fact that a lot of people
    tossed out their turntables in the mid-80's.

    Even major labels are very selective. I had written
    to Blue Note about wanting a recent Greg Osby album on
    vinyl, and they said it's not feasible, and they would
    only release vinyl by an artist that would be
    accessible to DJ's. I thought wait, DJ's aren't the
    only ones using vinyl these days, there is an
    incredible amount of people who will still listen just
    to listen.

    But Blue Note have eaten their words, now that they've
    pressed up Norah Jones' album.
