Last week I came back from a trip where my airline of choice was British
Airways. Somewhere over iceland, after I had exhausted the movie options,
I started flipping through the radio channels, and on one of the channels,
what do I hear ? Lo and behold, funky jazztickal broken beats! And soon
thereafter, a familiar voice with a british accent... none other than Mr.
Peterson. In fact now that I think of it I think I remember knowing
that GP was on BA.... in any case, I've got to hand it to BA for being
progressive and supporting the arts. The whole thing they did with
commissioning artists to do the tail fins on their planes, and now this.
So I sat back and enjoyed the show... here are some of the artists /
tracks I caught for the November show:
    Vikter Duplaix
    London Elektricity
Troubleman / Strike Hard (Man I LOVE this track!)
    Ed Motta
    Portishead / Strangers
    Marcos Valle
    Drumagick
    Cinematic Orchestra
    Missy Elliott - Work it
    Dr Rockit rmix of 7
    Peven Everett / Studio Confessions
Madlib remix of Jazzanova's Love and you and I (is this track out
    anywhere ??? it's soo dope!)
help me ID this one: a female vocal (sounds like Ursula Rucker) saying :
"Kisses, Day 6, This is, crazy, the way he makes me feel"

The show also featured a mix by Thievery Corp, which was pretty well done,
mixed some brazilian rare groove, a Farid track, Richest man in Babylon,
    and a few other joints

Anyway, it was some nice listening at 40,000 feet! The person next to me
musta thought me strange snappin my neck to some of those beats. But whats
up with the sound quality on airplane audio? It's like listening through a
    walkie talkie speaker...

Some recent albums that are rocking my world:

UFO - V - this is by far the most mature work of theirs, impeccably
produced, lots of moody vibes, and a couple of bangers. nice!

Tru Thoughts - When Shapes Join Together 3 - despite a couple of kitchy
songs there are some really really fat down and midtempo tracks on here
that make it all worthwhile. Quantic is the man!

Akwaaba - too Shiny - these guys are right on the money with their dubby
bass heavy hypnotic uptempo bangers. Every track is a winner on here.

    peace
    Nat
