OK, but, then, it was an era in which a particular kind of music was called
"acid jazz." The style of music, (as you say, quality black inspired soul
music and jazz dance) existed before Gilles P. or whoever coined it "acid
jazz" and it exists even now that "acid jazz" as a marketing term is dead.
