STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)
Hello all
To make up for my botched attempt at playing an interview with BNX on last
week's show, we'll have him live in the studio this Friday. Amongst the 3
hours of fly cuts he spun at Honkytonks last night was my Trainspotters'
Corner selection from last week - Lava by Flytronix. Something a bit
different for the producer who first came to prominence doing drum and bass
on Moving Shadow records. Now that he's moved to Far Out it seems fitting
that he should do a Brazilian tune, one that actually uses a bassline from
now-labelmate Joyce, from her 1980 Feminina LP.

Don't forget we've got a special appearance at Open Sesame this Thursday
night from DJ Jorj. You may remember his appearance on Stylin as part of the
Lords of Rhythm. Or you may have noticed that his Brazil Horns/Only You 12"
has just been released on Jon Cutler's Distant label and is blowing up
around the globe.
until then
