Off the top of my head, I know that Amon Tobin will be here on October
12th, with Bonobo in the opening slot. Also, Kawabato Makoto, the leader of
the Japanese psych collective "Acid Mothers Temple, will be here on the
14th. He'll be performing a set with local experimental/avant-garde
musicians. Given the fact that Montreal's a real hotbed for this style of
music, what with the Victoriaville festival of Musique Actuelle, the show
should be totally slamming. It's really too bad that you're not staying an
extra day, cos the one and only Acid Mothers Temple will be performing on
the 15th on their only stop in Canada, and that's sure to be one hell of an
event. I'd suggest that you buy your tickets far in advance, cos all three
shows are pretty close to being sold out. I'll be at all three shows
myself....
