this might not be out yet.
take freaks and icons and make it better, more diverse (keeping the
midtempo middle eastern flavor) and a little bit deeper. for some
reason i like the first 1/2 of the album better than the 2nd, maybe
because thats where the dancefloor slant is. stiff jazz and ford
transit are already getting lots of play. i love basmati featuring
daniela, some sweet and pretty trumpet and vocals, with a straight ahead
beat that really moves. sliding with general santana is going to get
some asses shaking too. a couple other vocal tracks, like 'thrill',
sweet jazz and upright bass. 'where's johnny sabatino' is fun, in an
urgent way; some heavy guitar, little flute, trumpet and someone needs
to answer the phone . really, its their bass that i love and i'm
generally biased towards them/it.

right after i got this i lent it to someone who promptly disappeared = \
but i liked it, same ESL sounds, which is ok cause those are good
sounds. but nothing struck me as too groundbreaking
i've been listening to the rae & christian remix of emiliana torrini's
baby blue a lot lately, so i was happy to hear her on a couple tracks.
especially the first track (heaven's going to burn your eyes, maybe?)
which is so pop and so nice.

heard this once and i wasnt giving it enough attention but i liked it
alot. thumbs up, but i cant remember specifically why

again i heard this once. dj cam is making house now? um, no thumbs,
down or up.
and accidently forgotten from my earlier album list: quantic's apricot
morning has been in heavy rotation, though it wouldnt be 1/2 as good
without sweet calling
