Hello there:
First off, I want to make sure that everyone knows that I am not attempting
to be divisive in any way or take anyone away from this particular group.
That being said. . .I want you to know that another e-group that exists
specifically for the promotion of jazz and related genres in Atlanta and the
Southeastern US. You are all cordially invited to join -- regardless of
where you happen to live.
We are attempting to promote and proliferate all styles of music in the
Southeast that falls within the "jazz continuum". . .including rag, blues,
gospel, Dixieland, stomp, swing, straight ahead, big band, bebop, free,
fusion, funk, r & b, smooth, Latin, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, world, trip-hop,
and even ambient, down tempo, electro, drum n' bass, neo-soul, spoken word,
and of course -- acid jazz.
If you dig or play any of the above styles or aspects of the jazz continuum
-- and if you are from Atlanta or the Southeastern US -- come join the
family! I'm trying to bring people together, break down the elitism and
barriers found within the world of jazz, and focus on positive and universal
aspects we can all enjoy.
This is an egroup wherein musicians, fans, and enthusiast can discuss jazz in
all it's glorious forms and styles as it lives and breaths throughout the
Southeast -- including news, reviews, opinions, styles, ideas, gigs,
concerts, CD releases, promotions, or information you may have.
Even if you are not from the Southeastern US -- this is a great way to
network and get to know some musicians, fans, and promoters, and club owners
in this area.
To sign up for this group -- please go to:

If you have a problem signing up, or changing you settings. . .e-mail me at
JAZZevangelist@aol.com, and I will do it for you.
Please do not leave this particular group -- once again, I am not trying to
siphon off members from this list. . .I'm just offering another free service
for those that might be interested.
I am attempting to make the Atlanta Jazz egroup a service from which
musicians and fans can genuinely benefit -- from finding out about what's
going on in live music, meeting new people with whom you can enjoy music
with, discovering new music and artists, discussing topics of interest with
others in the community, to promoting whatever you might happen to be
involved with.
I have no agenda other than unifying and bringing solidarity to the jazz
community in Atlanta. . .as well as getting the word out about the wonderful
music happening in the city and region every day!
Peace, Love, and All That Jazz,
J. Scott Fugate
