For a closed headphone with no outside interference, I like my
Sennheiser HD25s. Very comfy, very isolated, durable and nice sounding
(good bass, without any boominess.) They cost about US$200 (I bought
mine for UKP110 in the Tottenham Court Road a couple of years back.)
There is a cheaper version, the HD25SP, for around US$100. I also have
a pair of Grado 225s, which sound totally incredible but being (very)
open have no sound isolation at all.
