CIT03 Featuring the debut talent of The FIRST FLOOR BROTHERS.

This release is quite funky & sophisticated.
We are extremely excited about this record and think you will be too.
The original songs are downtempo gems led by the
funky bass and the elegant Rhodes. Written and produced by
brothers Seth Vanek and Nate Vanek of Chicago aka: The Firs Floor
    Brothers.

Both Nate and Seth have musical backgrounds ranging from playing a
    variety
of instruments such as the drums, guitar, piano and most current,
the bass. Seth can be found in Chicago playing in local bands while
Nate can be found today spinning records under the alias
    of DJ Verb.

     A1. (Thunderball Mix)
We are pleased to announce this track has been remixed by one of our
    favorites:
Washington's DC's THUNDERBALL of Eighteenth Street Lounge
These stylish ambassadors surely know what the word spice means as
Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona have added so much flavor to this track
you'll need a tall glass of ice water just to cool off after one listen.

With chunky rolling afro beats, modern urban hip hop flare and a whole
    lot of funk!
Special appearances by Akil Baker on vocal who you may recognize
from Thunderball's hit single "Stereo Tonic" and ESL's Rob Myers on
    guitar who
frequently plays with Thievery Corporation and other ESL artist.
Be on the look out for Thunderball's new imprint, Fort Knox!

A2. "Fashionably Late" (Original Mix) Is one beautiful and extremely
    catchy
groove, as rolling beats, gorgeous jazzy keys and a funky bass-line fill

"Fashionably Late" with so much texture. This is one track that can be
    set on replay any
time of the day or night. This song also fits very nicely in a midtempo
    DJ set.

B1. "Signal 106" GREG LONG reworks "Signal 106" speeding it up a bit in
    the tempo
department. Long adds a bit more to "Signal 106" with his fretless
bass and a touch of jazz by way of
added keys still in the dark yet sophisticated taste one can only call
    Greg Long style.

B2. "Signal 106" (Original Mix) Another catchy tune that really reminds
    me of music around
the year 1998, one of my favorite years regarding downtempo. Beautiful
and full of emotional sounds and textures.
Once more the tracks is adorned by elegant organic sounds and wrapped in
spaced out yet warm synthesizers which works well in contrast.

    Cat No: CIT 003. Promo.
As expected, the third outing from Florida's tiny
wonderful organic toned Citrona imprint is a refined
debut from the Chicagan First Floor Brothers.
"Fashionably Late" is a treading slowly drummed cut,
with beautifully thoughtful mellow keys, hard to pinpoint
magical bass, blissful strings and near invisible two
point scratches. The Thunderball Remix ups the tempo
as a vigorous guitar, ice chill keys, grooving bass and
guitars that fail to convey a great deal combine to
produce a flavoursome re-rub. "Signal 106" takes its
bite and startling power from a squeezed under
pressure synth and rude dancing bass, while its relaxing
charm comes from elegant spaced keys and a magic
honeyed synthesized guitar. Greg Long's remix brings
his inimitable startling yet pacifying clean-cut style to
"Signal 106" courtesy of a little grooving cute bass, funk
edged beats, FX splurges and magic touch distressed
    keys.

    DRM Shaeed
    First Floor Brothers EP
    Citrona/US/12
Citrona's second and third stabs keep them on the good-look
chart. Remixer Greg Long gives Aaron Schultz (a.k.a DRM)'s
dubby downtempo "Shaeed" a keyboard rinse on one mix, and extends
well on another. Meanwhile, First Floor Brother's smooth retro-funky
    "Fashionably Late"
gets sped up and globalized by Thunderball, while Long thumps up their
    "Signal 106". Oh yeah.
