Downtempo/Leftfield: New CD from former Wall Of Sound duo Akasha with lush
downtempo, break beat group Blu Mar Ten change up their style with this lush
vocal lounge track, Bros Rock Crew with a new album of b-boy breaks, great
new 12" from Citrona by the FirstFloor Bros (featuring one of our former
Groove Dis employees), DJ Krush's classic "Meiso" album gets a repress,
indie rockers Queens of the Stone Age get remixed by James Lavelle as UNKLE,
two remixes of Run DMC tracks by Jack Knife Lee and Riton, full length from
UK soulstress Terri Walker on Def Soul UK, US modern dub artists get their
chance to shine on the new Select Cuts 12" with Tino Corp, Dub Congress, and
Systemwide, funked hip-hop downtempo from Watch TV on Hi Top.
Drum & Bass: New 12" of disco d&b from Catch' Wreck on Renegade, finished
copies of the Dragonsword remix double 12", Fierce & Cause 4 Concern team up
on a new 12" from Quarantine, GreG Packer drops two new tunes on Phuturistic
Blues, and Suv and DJ Patiffe drop a track from the upcoming comp with a
heavy Surge remix.
Hip Hop: The Proov is the Netherlands hottest hip hop with Perquisite on the
production, new 12" from MC Ty who was featured on the Top Rockin' single
from last week on Big Dada, new double LP comp of Jay Dee productions and
remixes of for Commom, ATCQ, Mas, Busta Rhymes, Slum Village and lots more.
House: The Chris Nazuka and Derrick Carter classic "Experience" gets
re-released on Classic, International Community is Jason Brunton's electro
disco deep house, hard to find house mixes of Jamiroquai on double LP, new
single from Moodorama on the strong Audiopharm label with mixes from Dave
"the Sheik", and Luke & Swift, newest in the Classic Mixes series is Todd
Terry, new 12" of electro house from Volga Select on Trevor Jackson's Output
label.
Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: Alessandro Alessandroni was the creator of the "Fist
Full of Dollars" whistle and he has a new 7" with Slope of Sonar Kollective,
new 12" from the Raw Fusion label by Beatfanatic with one side a Brazilian
flavored tune and the other a Puerto Rican jam, new 12" from Clashing Egos
on Life Enhancing Audio with a Kirk Degiorgio mix, Doctor Rockit aka Herbert
with a new EP on his own Life Like, Lost Idol is a crazy dope jazzy
cinematic 4 tracker on Cookshop, new 12" of Detroit meets broken beat from
Recloose tipped artist Patrik Smaaland on Rush Hour, incredible new Groove
exclusive record from Rednose Distrikt featuring Lady Alma Horton and a
remix from DJ Spinna & Mark de Clive Lowe, new single from Reunion with a
