I’ve been feeling this damn CD so much. It’s about a year old (I think)
there are some older tracks on the disk as you'll see....
But damn damn damn… so dark and funky..................
Sick sick sick basslines all over the place…...No wonder Raimund Flocks’
set was the highlight of WMC 2003 aside from the night at Chesterfield
with Desmond Williams and Nickodemus who educated my ass big time on
some old funk.
Back to the Family Affair.....The Mo’ Horizons song “Walk Into Space Pt
1.” is absolutely fucking amazing. One of the sickest basslines I think
I’ve ever heard.
Still getting familiar with Quantic's catalog…A few weeks back when I
first heard this disk….Track 5 came on when I was in the laundry room
and Greg said “this is wicked wonder who this is” and I recall seeing
Quantic’s name on the track list but had no clue which track it was…I
guessed “I bet it’s Quantic!” yep yep….Not just his beats but Will uses
these short dark catchy as hell melodies that in a lot of ways defies
his signature aside from his amazing percussion.
Anyway, if anyone hasn’t heard this, look for it. It comes 100% highly
guaranteed.
