I WANT to unconditionally love this album as my
surroundings tell me how grand it is. Therefore I play
it on a regular basis in between all the other goodies
that comes my way and because I FEEL I am having
a long and serious relationship with Herbert / Dr. Rockit /
Radioboy / Wishmountain.
Even the first track on a special CD for my son to be born
by was ; You are unknown to me.
BUT ... I think Goodbye Swingtime is somehow
harder for me to get the feel of, maybe due to the
form namely a big band :-)
That said I find Herberts reflections very interesting
and his website is very inspiring and unveals in a
subtle way his thoughts and inspirations.
Also I found a very nice audio interview on BBC1
where Gilles is interviewing Herbert in between two
sets with the big band.
Well... as I said ..., I do WANT to like the album,
so on the player it will go.
