Modern Groove Assembly brings the live jazz breakbeats, funk, and nu-soul to
the world famous Temple Bar, 1026 W. Wilshire, Santa Monica, TOMORROW,
Wednesday, at 11pm. $5 (Five Dollars? All that funk for $5!!! That should be
against the law!)
Featuring "Modern Drummer's" R&B drummer of the year Herman Matthews,
reedman extraordinaire Louis Taylor, Stewart Killen of Orgone on percussion,
new bassist Dig Lewis, (former) Virgin Recording artist Kelli Stanton and
Kia Hamm on vocals, DJ Theory on the 1's and 2's, and yours truly on Rhodes,
Clav and MS2000!
New tunes since the last time we played down there w. Cody Chesnutt (who was
just on Letterman the other night, btw).... so, come check it out!!!
