after a brief hiatus, mga keeps it fresh with all new material and new
musicians!
new bass player ian martin played on ronnie jordan's "brighter day" lp, and
performed w. julie dexter at her recent temple bar date.
woodwind maestro louis taylor has, in the last 2 months alone, performed
and/or recorded with donnie, soulive, ray charles, bill summers, fred
wesley, unwrapped, (the legendary) gerald wilson, chaka khan, pete
escovedo.... in other words, jazz spoken here.
new vocalist charlia boyer was founding member of an acid jazz band on RCA
records. Co-founder and bassist Mike Elizondo has gone on to play and
produce with some funny cat named Marshall Mathers, not to mention Christina
Aguilera-Sheryl Crow-Busta
Rhymes-50 Cent-Ice Cube-Jay Z-Xzibit-Lisa Marie Presley-Truth Hurts-enough
already!
meanwhile, charlia has gone on to.... er, sing with the mga... ah well,
maybe mike will get something going too.
with stevo theard on drums, orgone's funkiest member, stewart killen, on
percussion, kia and carletha on vocals, and the soon to be legendary mc frog
1.... *not* to mention the extremely sexy dj theory...
