Greetings,
Just a quick note to remind you that I'll be sitting
in for Harry Duncan this evening and hosting "In The
Soul Kitchen" from 8-10pm - two hours of jazz, roots
and soul music. Then at 10, it's business as usual
with a new edition of "FreeFall." That's four hours to
stretch and play lots of music that I wouldn't
ordinarily have a chance to, so please tune in and
check it out.
Lots of tickets as well: Orchestra Baobab at the
Palace of Fine Arts on Saturday, Boozoo Bajou at Ruby
Skye on Thursday, Budonkadonk - live salsa / funk at
Milk on Saturday and Dr. Israel's Brooklyn Jungle
Soundsystem and Mark Pistel on Sunday at Dub Mission.
Unfortunately, I'm going to miss all these wonderful
shows, because {fortunately) I'm heading down to the
Coachella festival in Indio this weekend for more
music than anyone could hope for.
That's it for the moment - a full Coachella report
next week and another mix set from whatmusic.com's
Charlie Leach.
Ciao for now,
David
