Something funny happened recently, I met Mike Smith
ex-sax player with BNH in Lagos. He was here with
Damon Albarn doing an Afrobeat album with Tony Allen
(fela drummer).
I had a long conversation with the guy and it
illuminated me on the early acid-jazz years. Loads of
money, tours, music sessions, crazy "diva artistes"
(Jamiroquai etc etc), great music...
btw I also took pictures of the rehearsal sessions
if any journalist or magazine out there wants a piece
or photos hit me off.
