Hello all
I had a great time last week spinning some recent and older favourites.
Check this week's Inpress too for a little rundown on some of my all time
favourite dancefloor tunes.
Most importantly, thanks to everyone that called in to subscribe to RRR. It
really means a lot to me to know that there are people that believe in this
music like I do and the importance of keeping it alive on the radio. And of
course it means a lot to RRR which needs this money to keep it operating for
the next 12 months, a crucial part of which will be setting up and moving to
a new building in Brunswick.
Amongst the Stylin folk who subscribed were a listener in Peru (I didn't
know we had anyone listening over there - hola!) and the brother of Lamb's
Andy Barlow who actually lives down here and called when I played "Gorecki".
Radiothon is on again this week, and it's really important for us to have a
huge week. I'd love to see more of the newsletter crew calling in tomorrow
or emailing me to subscribe. Don't forget that it's only subscribers who get
all the regular discounts of the RRR subscriber card and get to call in all
year for giveaways of CDs and tickets to things like Good Vibrations,
Pharoah Sanders, Nitin Sawhney, Blackalicious, Sugarhill Gang, etc. It'll be
more of the rewind tomorrow - just quality tunes.

On another note, anyone wondering what to do in Melbourne tonight should
check us out for Open Sesame at Honkytonks. We have a rare appearance from
ASB, who's been living in Japan the last few years and has gained quite a
reputation as the man for sourcing those killer Japanese releases. I'm
imagine he'll have a few with him.
until then
