    >>isn't being heard and played out the first incentive for an artist?
if his music is good people will show up at his concerts, parties,
so he can make a living out of it<<

Why would people even bother to leave the house?
(remember chances are that live performances would also appear on these collections)
Even today with so much digital entertainment available in the home, I know many music lovers
who refuse to go out and deal with traffic, crime, and other hassles to engage in any form of
music outside of their home or car.

    >>some maybe want to have extra info and buy the album for sleeve notes, artwork,
and other will simply not be interested in havin all these 'high tech' discs and stuff
and would just go and buy the vinyl :)<<

There is no reason that additional information, graphics, liner notes, etc, couldn't also be
    on the disc...

    >>of course discs capable storing that much music might be the next problem for music
    industry.. <<

    Yup

    >>it sure is a threat, but maybe those big libraries of music will only be
interesting for lets say 'freaks' - regular people just want 1 disc a time,
don't they? without browsing through all those tracks..<<

Remember, these discs would have sorting/search software included that would allow you to pull
up anything you wanted within seconds.
If I had this much music on a small number of disc's, I'd probably buy a dedicated computer
with maximum hard drive storage and connect the output of the computer directly into my home
    sound system...

    >>i think i'll buy a disc of that brother and via that buy the albums that i liked the most,
and in that way try to support the artist i like.<<

I hear ya, however most people once in possession of this much music, in an easily
searchable/sortable package, would quickly forget any obligation to "pay the artist".

    >> - anyway.. the whole copy issue def.
    is a complex discussion!<<

Yes it is, and in my opinion it's going to soon be at the level where this concept will become
    a reality...
    Other thoughts?
