    i disagree. it IS hiphop. it however is not the
    TOTALITY of what's happening w/hiphop music. they are
    made w/different agendas (commercial hiphop music is
    made to sell many copies, underground is made to
    approach the form as an art).

    network news focuses on attention getting
    items--spouses killing their mates in horrific ways,
    celebrity marital infidelity, potentially offensive
    music. good or happy news rarely gets people to stay
    in front of their tvs.

    true. just like with other things, you have to
    pre-chew art & entertainment for your children.

    while there's the occasional issue w/language, the
    subject matter of these groups are usually above
    board.

    generally great, but becareful of some of the solo
    endeavors by roc raida...
