March #2 compilation 2006 this [2006-03-26]

An expensive month this... two compilations per month is not really a good idea. I went a bit nuts on my birthday and ordered way too many CDs. Payback in April I guess.

I'm quite happy with this compilation. Even if the first comp in March was ok, it didn't feel special. This one feels fresher.

Andrea Kellerman is Firefox. Heavy on the electropop, but a nice change in style. Swedish music.
Some highlights from the Feed our soul album, with Incognito remixes. Two of my favourite singers as guests: Ed Motta and Valerie Etienne.
Two live tracks from Gilles' worldwide show. Fat Freddy brilliant as usual.
Changing into this special mix of Samba and Drum'n'Bass, as best heard on the "Sambass" compilations. Arcoiris is here mainly for the bass line. Helen Christina has an amazing voice! Ram Science has a fresh sound that I like.
A finish with four tracks from the Listening Pearls label. The sound is typical for this label. Good to see Yonderboi back. That Quesh track has a groove that really sticks.

MP3 sound bite (3.1MB). 20 seconds from each song. Cover shot: fudge pie. 5/10 pie points.
