O have a question about sampling. And whom bettter to ask than those on
thios list. When does it become copyright infringement? i was doing a
commerccial for American Airlines a while back and wanted to use 7 notes
as a tag from another tune. After I shelled out a bunch of dough, I
decided to play safe and change 3 of the nortes up a third. Irt was still
recognizable as was my intent, but the laywers were happy. How about when
you lift whole passages and use them in another work? Whats happens legaly?
