Hi Sandro,
I was in Tokyo in 92-93, and also in April 95. I was heavily into the
club scene there and I was regularily at the Cave (apparently now
closed?), Yellow (still excellent) and the DJ Inkstick Bar, as well as
Endmax (now closed), Wanna Dance (now closed), Gold (now closed) and
other bars and venues I can't remember how I got to or what I did once I
got there. In April I was treated to an exciting array of excellent new
clubs, such as Apollo, Automatix, Maniac Love and others. I have been to
many of Raphael, Yabe and James' nights. James also is a friend of mine
- he used to live in the same house as me in Nishi-Sugamo. He's now
manager of the Tokyo branch of a UK-based record shop called Mr. Bongo.
It's a small world, 'innit.
Regards,
Rob
