I thought the acid-jazz term came from england. In fact seems british
normally are known for seperating music with the many different names.
Like all the difference sub groups of jungle/drum n bass jump up, hard
step e.t.c.
I think I remember reading some docmentary saying acid-jazz was the name
of some label that released groups with music odf that name i.e. new
70s funk-jazz hybrid.
ALso the first band from this label named The chemists,
had a lead singer who was a chemist. He used to do research with HCl acid,
and so named there brand of music acid-jazz i.e. I m playing jazz with the
hands that actually have some traces of HCl. get it? Ok Ill quit the
bsing.
