i think it would also be good to throw in some stuff concerning alot of the
ideas about sampling and appropriation expressed by artists. i find works by
john cage to be some of the most interesting "mixes" done - check out
variations four where he mixes radio stations with mics on the street in a
gallery space - it is really incredible. also john nincarrow's plyerpiano
pieces totaly relate to the ideas in electronic music as they are pieces
impossible to play by human hands, and hence use the technology in a useful
way, kind of like that 1000bpm moby track( anyone else hear him play it at
ultraworld last thnaksgiving btw?) .
