On a similar vein, I heard Tim Hagans' band last summer in a jazz
festival in Pori, Finland. There was a dj playing d'n'b-style
beats and scratching together with a band (drums, double bass,
Hagans on trumpet, sax, synth). It sounded quite cool. Or maybe like
Bitches brew. =) On the same night Eric Truffaz was playing, and
his performance was even better. Anyone checked out Tim
Hagans' recordings, what are they like? If you have the chance to
    see him live, do go.
