    . . . talking (more) about Nortec:

this month, in Mexico, the first issue (No. 00) of a new magazine
called AT/SYBER was released with a Nortec 'Experimental' sampler with
seven tracks, unreleased as far as I know:

    1. CLOROFILA : paseo moral
    2. TERRESTRE : el maquilazo
    3. MONNITHOR : cartucho
    4. PANOPTICA : revu cruising
    5. HIPERBOREAL : kin-kle futurista
    6. LATINSIZER : ritmo 55
    7. PLANKTON MAN : el q-cui

They are much less danceable that most else that has been released by the
Nortec Collective. The CD includes an interactive file as well, which I
have not been able to run either on my Mac or PC, btw. The magazine is
so-so, but it includes a couple of insiders' views on the whole Nortec
thing and a bunch of pictures from their performances at La Perla earlier
this year (sadly, you cannot see me on any one of them :) It is only 35
pesos (less that us $3.50) and widely distributed, so I strongly recommend
you go out and buy it.

. . . btw, is the Nortec album available domestically in Mexico? I
have only seen the Palm Pictures import . . .
