There's a 8 track freeware version of pro tools for PC and MAC.
A friend is using a g3 and this freeware version and he says it's
practically
the same as the one you pay for.
I'd check that out if you're trying to save some loot. and it beats cracked
versions
of cubase/cakewalk that tend to crash from time to time.
but i agree the 001 is probably the best semi-pro pro tools system
available.
and or using a good AD/DA convertor with the pro tools freeware.
