Steph,
If you were evaluating the JBL Eons, then did you check out the Mackie
SRM450 series? They physically look like the JBLs but they are really,
really amazing sounding and are not in the same ballpark. You can run a
pretty decent party with a set of these (4 would be ideal) and they really
sound great. They're powered, so no need for an amp- just your sources and
your mixer. Before you pass over these, go try them out- they really are
worth the money and live up to the hype.
