when someone who's selling you tells you how wonderful a product is, it's
advertizing and it can't really be trusted. when someone who's already
bought the product (= seen the show, heard the record) tells you how
wonderful it is, it's not advertizing - it's a recommendation, and it's
more likely to be honest and sincere. it seems to me that the point of
the list is to trade recommendations. self-plugs are probably welcome, I
don't know, but imho if you are plugging yourself you should _say_ that
you're doing it. don't disguise advertizing as recommendation.
