However I remember seeing Herbie Hancock & band mash up "Rockit" live
and Mantronik cutting it to shreds without any DAT machine. Both of
these gigs kicked it due to the fact they were in clubs not cavernous
rock venues which always suck..(Plus there was no rapping)
The saddest gig I saw was Ice T at Brixton Academy- The man who brought
us "High Rollers" was reduced to the role of a sordid TV comedian. He of
course does that for a living nowadays along with Sir Mixalot. Anyone
seen Playboy TV recently? You'll be surprised at what people do for
money. Now that's a good name for a record.
