    thanks for this link, i was aware of this practice BUT not to the extent of
    how these 'music publishers' get their way. do you HAVE to work with a
    music publisher to get your music out in the community? sometimes i see
    that artists have copyright control on their recordings. i figured that
    this must mean, they didn't publish it but are the sole owners of the
    recording? am i right?
