Interesting new work from the lyricist/vocalist of Prefab Sprout.
A concept album to the extreme; spoken word and instumentals tell the tale of one womans life. You'd better like Prefab to like this, but don't mistake this (sound-wise) for Prefab's usual smart pop. You can hear this is done by McAloon but the mood is very different. This is slow, moody, ambient and calming - like candle light in a dark room if you you what I mean. The music is beautiful, especially the orchestration. I would say ideal as background for late sunday brunches...
